Assists Must Go Up
Coach Avery Johnson has a number in his head, and he feels that his superstar forward definitely has the ability to either match or exceed it. Make no mistake about it, Lebron James will be handling more of the passing duties in this coming season. Johnson feels that Lebron could realistically average 9 assts. per game and that's not being overly optimistic. As a former point guard himself, Coach Johnson feels that Lebron has all the tools needed to be a full time primary ball handler. While this may sound like a diminished role for Jason Kidd, Coach Johnson doesn't see it that way by adding, "That's Jason Kidd out there, be real. Having Lebron handle the ball more will only open up things a bit more for everyone else on the court. Nobody has forgotten about Jason, and he still is the starting point guard. I just want more assists from Lebron.
