Pierce has Second Chance with Bobcats
Future hall of famer Paul Pierce in the biggest trade in TSL history moved back to a city he once resided last season in Charlotte. Bobcats GM Mr. Jordan traded him for the return of Corey Maggette solely because Pierce could not consistently get it done. Charlotte beat writers wrote narratives on how Pierce's release had changed over the years moving him from elite status which his pay and rating suggested to nothing more than a role player. Haven spent the end of last season in Golden State being the third and sometimes fourth option offense it seemed Pierce's career was close to being over.
This off season MJ realized the grave mistake he made last season and targeted Pierce, once he became availble. After tense negotiations and having 4 teams involved, the deed was done and Paul was back in a Charlotte uniform. Understanding how much he isn't liked by other Gm's Pierce is happy to know that he has probably found a home back in Charlotte. He and MJ immediately hit the gym with Mr. Ren in the stands watching his progress. Gm Ren believes it is safe to say, "Pierce is back." He continued, "We have been working very hard with Pierce's release to simplify it. We expect him to be the offensive weapon we know he can be. People look at Chris Bosh to be our first option coming off an MVP caliber year, but right now Pierce comes out of the tunnel last and this is his team." With the support of the Gm's Pierce has been suprising teams over summer league with his stellar play in just a few games with the Bobcats. "I feel like I'm back!" said Pierce. He is shooting well over 50% from the field including a 35 point outburst against the Kevin Durant led Lakers. Bobcats are hoping he can carry this momentum into the regular season and have them back near the top of the east. "I'm using this time during the lockout to just work on my craft. If nothing else, I'm hungry. I have a chip on my shoulder and I look forward to my second chance."
